Frequently Asked Questions
What Should I Bring?
Daytime tours
Drinking water (preferably in a reusable water bottle) Sunscreen, sunglasses, water shoes, and a hat are highly recommended as daytime tours spend most of the time exploring in direct South Florida sunlight. Sunscreen must be applied 20 minutes before departure.
Evening/Night tours
Bug repellent, clothes you don’t mind getting a little wet and shoes that can get wet. Bug Sprays must be applied a minimum of 20 minutes prior to departure
Colder winter months
Dress in layers. Long sleeve fishing shirts, fleece and microfibers work best at staying warm when damp. Bring a towel, socks and change of pants for after the trip.
Please keep in mind that kayaking is a water sport. Be prepared for wet feet and soggy bottoms :)
Due to the unique materials and shape of the clear kayaks, our manufacturer has provided a strict limit of 275 lbs. per person.
There can be no more than 435 lbs. of combined weight per kayak - 2 people.
Depending on the number of kayaks available per tour, we may be able to accommodate single paddlers to accommodate the 425 lbs. combined limit.
Please give us a call with any questions concerning the weight restrictions.
Are the kayaks tandem or solo?
All group bookings are booked as tandem (two paddlers in one boat) unless there is an uneven number of participants in your group.
If you have 3 participants, we will reserve 2 boats for your group, one tandem and one solo.
Please call/text us if you if you are booking a tour as a single paddler.
What is the Weather Policy?
We continuously monitor weather conditions leading up to your tour, including forecasts, real-time precipitation, lightning, and wind patterns. As the tour approaches, we pay close attention to radar updates to ensure a safe experience.
The safety of our guests comes first. If it rains lightly, we still go out for our adventure.
If heavy precipitation, lightning, or strong winds create potentially unsafe conditions, we may implement a 30-minute weather hold or cancel the tour. Your guide will provide an update approximately 45 minutes before the scheduled departure. In the event of a cancellation, we will make every effort to reschedule your tour to a later time or an alternative date. If rescheduling is not possible, a full refund will be issued.
We recommend leaving valuables safely in your vehicle to avoid any accidents. Unfortunately, we've seen phones and cameras fall into the water, which can be a disappointing experience. Even with a waterproof case, items can still sink to the bottom, sometimes in deep water. To fully enjoy your adventure without worry, it's best to keep them securely stored on land.
Do you have a minimum age requirement?
All tours are family-friendly!
Here’s what you need to know about age restrictions:
Children ages 3+ are welcome.
30 lbs or under: You must bring your own Coast Guard-approved life jacket (fit and safety are crucial).
Important Guidelines for Children:
Parental Judgment: Every child is different. Consider whether your child can sit safely in a kayak for two hours.
Paddling Requirements: An adult must paddle for any child who cannot paddle independently.
Life Jackets:
30 lbs or under: Bring your own Coast Guard-approved life jacket (fit and safety are crucial).
Over 30 lbs: We provide life jackets.
14 years & under: Required to wear a life jacket at all times while on the water.
Paddling Independence & Adult Supervision
Under 15: Cannot paddle alone. One adult is required per child aged 14 and under. Adults should have a moderate fitness level, as they will do most to all the paddling.
Ages 15-17: A supervising adult must attend and sign waivers (but a 1:1 ratio is not required). The adult should assess whether the teen can handle kayaking in varying conditions.
What are your tour times?
Tour times will vary depending on a number of factors including:
Weather conditions, sun intensity, sunrise/sunset times, and time of the year.

Will we see wildlife?
While the area is home to many species of fish, crabs, rays, pelicans, birds, and occasionally dolphins + manatees, we can not guarantee they will appear during the tour. It is always a hope but never a guarantee! Even if wildlife does not appear during the tour, our experienced guides will make it fun as they search for wildlife, stop for photo opportunities, and take swim breaks- conditions permitting!
Can you accommodate large groups?
